Abound SR vs. Abound LR: Which One is Right for You?

Both models have the same 200-KG payload capacity, but the Abound LR features a rear rack that is 18 cm longer than the SR, which makes it better suited for carrying bulkier cargo or two passengers. However, the LR is also 3.6 kg heavier. 

If you prefer a more compact cargo e-bike for easier storage and maneuverability, the SR is the better choice. However, if you need more cargo space, go for the Aventon Abound LR.

New ACU and increased theft deterrence

The Abound SR features the Aventon Control Unit (ACU), a smart system designed for ultimate security and seamless connectivity. With GPS tracking, 4G connectivity, remote locking, and geofencing, staying connected to your bike has never been easier.

Safety is built in with passcode protection, an integrated alarm, and a smart-lock kickstand. Even when powered off, the bike stays locked down and requires a passcode to reactivate.

TECHNICAL OVERVIEW

The Abound SR ships as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle. The Abound SR will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are prohibited. Abound SR ebike and battery is UL Certified with UL 2849 for the ebike and UL 2271 for the battery. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX6-rated standard. An IPX6 rating means the bike is protected against high-pressure water streams from any angle. This provides strong water resistance, so you can confidently ride in heavy rain or through puddles and mud. However, IPX6 does not mean waterproof—Aventon ebikes are not designed for full submersion. Avoid using a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike, as pressurized water can still damage components. *Max range is determined using PAS 1 throughout flat terrain with a rider weight of 73 KG.

Electric Kicks ships out your order through Priority Express couriers, free of charge, anywhere in Australia. No minimum order required. Generally orders are shipped the same day if ordered before 12pm.
